Still unsure about something? Message us — we would rather answer before you book than after.

A shared departure: you book seats on a boat that sails on a fixed schedule from Labuan Bajo harbour and pay per person, instead of chartering the whole boat. Our Komodo open trips leave every morning and cover Padar, Komodo Island, Pink Beach and Manta Point with a ranger, lunch and snorkelling gear included. Groups are capped at twelve on the day boats.

April to June and September to early November are the sweet spot — calm seas, green hills and fewer boats than the July–August peak. Manta sightings are strongest from December to February, but crossings can be rougher. We sail all year and will tell you honestly if your dates are a bad idea.

No, and be careful with any operator who says they are without giving you a number. Park tickets, ranger fees and conservation levies are charged per person, differ on weekends and public holidays, and change by regulation. We buy them for you in advance and show every line item in your quote.

Yes, with a park ranger, which is mandatory and included on all our trips. Rangers carry a forked stick, keep the group together and set the distance. There has not been an incident on any of our departures since we started in 2014.

For snorkelling stops you do not. Life jackets are provided and our guides get in the water with you. Manta Point has real current, so we will hold you back from that one stop if conditions are strong and you are not confident — the rest of the day is unaffected.

A 50% deposit confirms your booking, with the balance due on the day. We accept bank transfer, card, PayPal and Wise. Free cancellation up to 7 days before departure. If we cancel for unsafe weather, you get a full refund or a free reschedule — in writing, in your booking confirmation.

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergy requirements are all routine for our kitchen — just tell us when you book so we can provision before we sail. There are no shops once you are in the park.

Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, a light long-sleeve layer, swimwear, sandals with grip for the Padar steps, motion sickness tablets if you are prone, and a dry bag for electronics. Towels, water and snorkel gear are on board.

We do not sell flights, but we will tell you which routing actually works — most people connect through Bali to Komodo Airport (LBJ). We do book hotels and homestays across every budget, and airport transfers are included in most packages.
